Imam Dr. Usama Al-Atar’s role as a teacher began when he started teaching at a young age at a weekend Islamic school in Vancouver B.C. He also taught at the Islamic Educational Center of Orange County (CA), Husseini Weekend School (CA), City of Knowledge (CA) as well as Az-Zahraa Academy (Vancouver). He inspired and motivated his students as he taught them Islamic History, Arabic, Qur’an and Ethics. Some of his students have progressed to become Qur’an reciters and teachers.

Dr. Al-Atar holds a Masters degree in Education, a Ph.D. in chemistry & a Ph.D. Arab & Islamic Studies in addition to his qualified religious training.
